1 | teaspoon | olive oil | |

1 | pound | ground (bulk) Italian sausage | |

1 | medium green pepper, thinly sliced | ||

|||
1 | medium onion, thinly sliced | ||
|
|||
1 | can | (15 ounce) Italian style diced tomatoes | |
|
|||
1 | cup | chicken broth | |
|
|||
5 | tablespoons | tomato paste | |
|
|||
4 | teaspoons | granulated sugar | |
|
|||
1 1/2 | teaspoons | dried basil | |
|
|||
1/4 | teaspoon | garlic powder | |
|
|||
1 | box | (16 ounce) linguine | |
|
Heat oil in large skillet to medium hot. Add sausage, peppers, onion; cook until sausage is no longer pink; drain.
Add the tomatoes, broth, tomato paste, sugar, basil and garlic powder; heat through.
While sauce is simmering, cook linguine as directed on package. Drain and serve topped with meat sauce.

“I'm not much of a cook anymore, I tried this and it was AWWWsome. I was really surprise that is was easy and tasteful . Next time I will add mushrooms and Cheese . OH ; I also used red peppers, to me they seem sweeter. I highly recommend this recipe ! ”
